The Assemblies of God in the UK was founded in 1924. It emerged from Pentecostal Churches wishing to have fellowship and co-operation. There are now some 50 million adherents in more than 50 nations of the world.

Since the commencement of the Assemblies of God there has been a Scottish contigency - Donald Gee (Edinburgh). However for some reason he did not feel able to sign the 1924 agreement and therefore the 1924 minutes show no Scottish Assemblies.

The minutes of 1925 show that Glasgow, Coaltown of Wemyss, Edinburgh and Stoneyburn were represented.

In 1992 there were 26 Assemblies in Scotland. There are currently 52!! Find one near you!
